"Both Betty and myself are 60 years of age and neither one of us have experienced the feeling of Home Ownership.

With both our age and lack of savings we just accepted that owning a home may never be a possibility for us.

One day while having lunch with some friends of ours, they were excited to inform us that they had just signed on with a company who was going to help them buy a house without getting a bank loan!

Curiosity had kicked in and hours later Betty and I were on the phone to Active Home Buyers.

"Hi, Peter and Tania here. The other week we received a phone call from our consultant at AHB asking if we wouldn't mind sharing a bit of info on our experience, I laughed as I relayed the question to Tania who was sitting in the dining room before responding. . . .I don't think there's anyone Tania hasn't told! Never the less we were both delighted to be able to share the great news with some more people...

Like many we had always wanted to have a place of our own, but whilst paying rent as well as the price of houses going up every year we were really struggling to save that dreaded deposit!

Both Tania and I work full time and earn a decent income but continued to feel frustrated when the banks simply said NO!

We decided to try and look for an alternative way so engaged the team at AHB. We then had a meeting with a fantastic bloke who took us through the paces of how we can realistically get a place of our own! The next few months we worked with AHB as we successfully went through the qualifying program.

As I am writing this it has been 10 months since that first phone call and can honestly say our lives have changed, we are extremely proud of our efforts and forever thankful for Active Home Buyers!

Anyway I've gotta go. . . we have some painting to do!
